Invictus Art Show in Vancouver Feb 2025
The Veterans Artist Collective’s Veterans Art Show & Exhibition was a major two-location exhibition created in support of the 2025 Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler. Held at the Maury Young Arts Centre in Whistler (Jan. 15–Feb. 15) and The Gallery George in Vancouver (Feb. 5–16), it showcased artwork by more than 20 Canadian veterans and serving CAF members, providing a public platform to share their experiences through visual art. The exhibition highlighted the role of creative practice in healing, resilience and transition, while also giving veteran artists an opportunity to sell their work and build their careers.
Galley George 2024
The “UNCONQUERED: An Exhibition of the Veteran Experience” was a Veterans Artist Collective exhibition held at The Gallery George in Vancouver from November 5–12, 2024, during Veterans Week and in the lead-up to the 2025 Invictus Games. It featured more than 20 serving Canadian Armed Forces members and veterans from across Canada, giving them an opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork while telling the broader story of the veteran experience. The opening reception was held November 7. Proceeds from artwork sales supported the participating artists and the Veterans Artist Collective, whose mission is to create positive pathways to mental health through immersive art programs and exhibitions. The exhibition was supported by organizations including the Invictus Games Foundation, True Patriot Love, Honour Ranch and the Royal Canadian Legion.
