True Patriot Love and the BC/Yukon Legion are sponsoring the
veteran portrait painting project (V3P)
The V3P will train veteran artists in portraiture and pair them with Canadian Legions to identify and honour unsung veterans and serving CAF members through painted portraits. The project aims to create a travelling national exhibition, bringing these stories and portraits to communities.

Veteran artists will participate in a specialized portrait-painting training program, developing the skills needed to create high-quality portraits that capture the character and service of each subject. At the same time, participating Royal Canadian Legions across British Columbia will be identified and engaged to nominate unsung vetera
Veteran artists will participate in a specialized portrait-painting training program, developing the skills needed to create high-quality portraits that capture the character and service of each subject. At the same time, participating Royal Canadian Legions across British Columbia will be identified and engaged to nominate unsung veterans and serving Canadian Armed Forces members from their communities whose stories deserve to be recognized.

Following the training, veteran artists will be paired with nominated subjects and begin creating their portraits. Each painting will become more than a work of art—it will preserve the individual's story of service and create an opportunity for veteran artists to connect with and honour another generation of service members.

Once completed, the portraits will form a travelling exhibition that moves through communities across British Columbia, beginning in the North and travelling south, allowing local communities and Legions to share the stories of their veterans. The journey will culminate in a major Remembrance exhibition at the BC Parliament Buildings in
